CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - At least 11 more barangays in this city were recently declared as drug-cleared by the Regional Oversight Committee through the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) - 2.

Lt. Col. Virgilio Vi-Con Abellera Jr, City of Ilagan Police Station chief, said the 11 more barangays that were declared drug-cleared were Cabisera 3, Aggasian, Centro San Antonio, Cabisera 2, Bangag, Cabannungan 1st, Bigao, Arusip, Batong Labang, Cabisera 14-16 at San Felipe. 

Abellera said the cooperation of city police office, barangay anti-drug abuse councils and the City Government of Ilagan led to the the successful drug-clearing operations in th barangays.

He said as of press time, of the total 91 barangays of the city, 41 are classified as drug-free and 31 are drug-cleared.

The City of Ilagan Police chief urged Ilaguenos to continue helping the police in its campaign on anti-criminality and anti-illegal drugs to ensure peace and order in the city. (MDCT/MGE/PIA Isabela)
