Six-day 'Duterte Legacy' caravan rolls out in Cebu province

CEBU CITY, Cebu, Oct. 20 (PIA) -- The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) will hold a six-day caravan in 10 local government units (LGUs) in Cebu province for the 

set this coming Oct. 21-26, 2021 for the Duterte Legacy Caravan in 10 different localities around the province of Cebu.

Among the areas that will host the event are; Lapu-lapu City and Cordova on Oct. 21, then Talisay City will host on Oct. 22. While in the southern part of Cebu, the municipalities of San Fernando and Barili will be the venues in Oct. 23, Moalboal and Alegria on the following day Oct.24. The event will be held in the towns of Medellin and DaanBantayan on Oct. 25 and the municipality of Bantayan in northern Cebu will conclude the six-day caravan on Oct. 26.

With a theme, “Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery.” this event seeks to inform the public of the government’s landmark projects and services and at the same time will showcase the notable achievements of the current administration that brought relevant changes to the lives of the Filipino people.

PCOO Secretary Sec. Martin M. Andanar will deliver his own keynote speech promoting the legacy of good governance initiated by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte while PCOO Assistant Secretary for Global Media and Public Affairs Asec. Jusan Vincent L. Arcena will lead the official presentation of the Duterte Legacy.

Local chief executives of the said places, brgy. captains, and other local officials along with some of their constituents are about to witness the anticipated event. Several line government agencies represented by their respective regional heads will also join the caravan to present the different programs they offered to the people and to bring the basic public services to the attendees of the event.

The main highlight of the activity will feature various beneficiaries who will express their own testimonies regarding their personal experiences that impacted their lives. The caravan plans to bring and share real life and inspiring stories of the people from different sectors whose lives were changed through the great efforts of the government. (RGC/PIA-7)
