CSC to foiled CSE exam takers: File for refund

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Oct. 23 (PIA) -- In line with the cancelled March 15 Pen and Paper Test of the Civil Service Examination (CSE-PPT), the Civil Service Commission (CSC) is reminding registered examinees to file their request for refund of their examination fees as soon as possible, or until Oct. 31.

After Oct. 31, the CSC will no longer accept refund requests for the P500 examination fee, as the commission will initiate the refund process so examinees can be refunded until Nov. 30.

In an advisory, Bohol CSC Field Officer and Director Alice May Parcon said requests for refund is done online by accomplishing the prescribed Google form accessible through the CSC7 official Facebook account: https://www.facebook.com/cscro7/ or the CSC website: csc7.net.

The Google form on the link must be accomplished only once.

After accomplishing the form, the following documents must be attached to the Google form: scanned copy of the accomplished Request for Refund Form (RRF) and the scanned copy of a valid ID card with clear photo, date of birth, and signature.

CSC said they will not honor other forms of requests outside the online facility.

CSC has since accepted requests for refund since July 1.

The payout is only until Nov. 30, 2021.

According to the CSC, the refund fee of P500 per registered examinee will be released through any of the Palawan Pawnshop branches nationwide.

The pawnshop fund conduit will notify the refundee through SMS using the mobile number indicated in the request for refund form RRF, the period within which to claim the refund, including the transaction code.

In claiming, the refundee needs to accomplish and sign the “Palawan Express Pera Padala Received Money Form” (PEPPRMF) as acknowledgement receipt of the refund fee.

The sender in the PEPPRMF is CSC-7.

The refundee would not be charged any fee in claiming the refund, if it is claimed within the allowable period of notification indicated in the SMS from Palawan Pawnshop.

For claiming the refund, the refundee should present to Palawan Pawnshop the original copy of any government-issued and valid ID cards including Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card and student ID which attests that student is currently enrolled, the ID bearing a photo and signed by the principal or head of the school.

Refundee must then present the transaction Code sent via SMS by Palawan Pawnshop.

All unclaimed refunds during the claiming period indicated in the Palawan Pawnshop SMS will be automatically cancelled, and when that happens, all cancelled transactions will be reset and the refundee will have to wait for further advisory.
