MEDINA, Misamis Oriental (PIA)--The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-10 has reinforced Medina’s flood control capabilities through the construction of the P29-million Revetment Wall at the Dangoan River.
As the Duterte administration continues its efforts to reinforce and build new infrastructure across the country through its Build Build Build program, the Revetment Wall will stabilize a portion of the river during intense rainfall and overflow, especially during the monsoon season.

Complete with earthworks, subbase and base courses, drainage, and slope protection structure, among others, the wall will serve as protection to nearby residences, businesses, and properties in the area from flooding.
In addition to the Revetment Wall, a project contract is currently ongoing for the continuation of the revetment project which covers the upstream portion of the river amounting to P75 Million set to be completed by the end of the year despite the disruption in its operations wrought by the Coronavirus (COVID)-19 pandemic.
