109 of 180 active COVID cases in Dgte unvaccinated

DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, Nov. 15 (PIA) -- Dumaguete City has reported that of the 180 active COVID-19 cases, 109 were unvaccinated while 71 were confirmed to have been vaccinated against coronavirus and are less likely to experience severe symptoms requiring hospitalization.

The 67 patients with COVID-19 are confined in the hospitals while 113 are managed by the Dumaguete City Health Office (CHO).

Of the 180 active COVID-19 patients, 112 cases are monitored and handled by the CHO personnel, 21 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center, 21 are admitted at Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital, six at ACE Doctors, nine at Holy Child Hospital, 10 at Negros Polymedic Hospital, and one is currently outside the city.

The city now has 4,053 recoveries and 140 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from Jan. 30, 2020 to Nov. 14, 2021.

Thirteen of the 30 component barangays in the city have zero to three active COVID-19 cases, while the remaining 17 barangays are managing between 4-17 active cases. (JCT/PIA7 Negros Oriental)
