GINGOOG CITY, Misamis Oriental (PIA)--The Local Government of Gingoog held the ceremonial Turnover of Research Allowance and Financial Aid to the Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel of the Gingoog City School Division at Manuel Lugod Central School Covered Court.
Led by Gingoog City Mayor Erick G. Cañosa and Vice Mayor Peter “Sr. Pedro” Unabia alongside Schools Division Superintendent Jesnar Dems Torres, the LGU allocated P8,455,000 as Research Allowance to continue its growth and development of their education system by supporting research programs in their area.
In addition, the said fund is also allocated as financial assistance to non-teaching personnel and the Philippine Elementary School Principals Association (PESPA) as support in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and recent calamity.
Cañosa expressed his gratitude to the teachers for their service by providing quality education in the city and disclosed that the LGU will continue to support Department of Education (DepEd) Gingoog’s measures to improve the condition of its personnel and students. (VPSB/PIA-10/Misamis Oriental)
