NV TUPAD workers get pay from DOLE

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - At least 326 workers of the  Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) recently received their salary from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Dolly Rose Minas, acting Provincial Employment Service Division of the Provincial Government, said that the workers received  P5,550.00 each during the ceremonial payout at the Nueva Vizcaya Convention Center.

The payout distribution was led by Governor Carlos  Padilla and DOLE Supervising Labor Employment Officer Geraldine  Labayani.

The TUPAD  is a community-based program/assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed, and seasonal workers.

Workers under TUPAD are given work for 15 days with a daily wage of P370.00 per day. (JKC/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
