QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- After moving to online activities for the previous year’s march in consideration of the health restrictions imposed by the Philippine government to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, you may now join Metro Manila Pride in making history by volunteering for the parade that champions against discrimination and oppression of the LGBTQ+ community.
Organizers of the Metro Manila Pride (MMPride) released its call for volunteers for the historic Pride rally, with over 290 volunteer slots waiting to be filled by individuals who will advance causes that will help the Filipino LGBTQIA+ community.
The deadline to sign up as a volunteer for the Metro Manila Pride march is on June 12, Sunday.
Only those who are 18 years of age or older may apply.
Those who are interested may fill out the application form through this link https://mmpride.org/volunteer-with-us.
A variety of positions are open, however, if a position is not listed, but has been called for before, MMPride may have additional volunteer calls for other positions, or aspiring volunteers may email volunteer@mmpride.org.
For those who cannot volunteer, but would like to extend their support, a fundraiser will be announced for the event.
Individuals can also donate to the organization at https://mmpride.org/support/donate. (PIA-NCR)
