ILOILO CITY (PIA) -- The Department of Health Western Visayas Center for Health Development recently launched the "PinasLakas" campaign for COVID-19 vaccination in the region.

The launching program was held at Robinsons Place Jaro, here, and was attended by the DOH 6 led by OIC assistant regional director Dr. Ma. Sophia Pulmones, various medical professionals, non-government organization (NGO) partners, and the faculty and students of
Philippine Science High School – Western Visayas Campus.

In her message, Pulmones stressed that this campaign aims to ramp up vaccination coverage among the A2 priority group (senior citizens) to 90% on primary series and the first booster shots to 50% within the first 100 days of the new administration of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.

Health Unit (RHU) every Friday both from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

For the province of Aklan, the vaccination site is at Gaisano Capital Aklan every Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

There are two sites for Antique province, namely, at Robinsons Place Antique every Thursday and at LGU San Jose Rural Health Unit (RHU) every Friday both from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Capiz holds its vaccination drive at the Provincial Health Office Ground every Wednesday (8:30 A.M. - 12:00 noon) and every Thursday (8:30 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.). A separate site is also available at SM Roxas City Transport Hub by the Roxas City Health Office every Monday to Friday, except holidays, from 8:00 A.M to 3:00 P.M.

While, Negros Occidental Provincial Health Office offers vaccination in their lobby that is open every Monday to Friday, except holidays.

On the other hand, available sites for Bacolod City are at SM City Bacolod and Ayala Malls open every Monday to Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

“This is your Department of Health Center for Health Development calling upon those who have not yet received the COVID-19 vaccine to visit their nearest health facility or vaccination site all throughout Western Visayas,” said Pulmones. (JBG/FRG/PIA6)
