QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- Ensuring that blood will be available to all hospitals in the city, Taguig Local Government holds weekly mass blood donation at Taguig-Pateros District Hospital (TPDH).

The city held its first mass blood donation activity last August 3 at TPDH and Rizal Medical Center which reached up to 100 blood donors.

Those wanting to donate may go to the district hospital on Wednesdays from 8 am to 12 nn. The weekly blood donation drive will be open for the whole month of August.  

The month-long event is in observance of the National Blood Donor’s Month with the theme, “Dugong Alay Mo, Sagip sa Buhay Ko," which aims to build public awareness of the need for quality and safe blood, honor and recognize blood donors, and encourage regular blood donation.

Blood donors will receive a simple token and free shirt after donating. (PIA-NCR)
