CEBU CITY, Cebu, April 28 (PIA) -- Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia administered the oathtaking ceremony of the new set of officers and board of directors of the Cebu Association of City and Municipal Public Information Officers (CAOCAMPIO) for the year 2023-2024 on April 28 at the Cebu Provincial Capitol, Cebu City.

The newly-sworn officers are, namely: Jesus Rey "Tetu" Cavalida as President, Rydal Cisneros as Vice President, Ruth Rowena Alensonorin as Secretary, Judith Leyson as Assistant Secretary, Lolito Bontigao as Treasurer, and Rodrigo Almonicar as Auditor. 

The Board of Directors are, namely: Marie Angeline Fano-Tupas (District 1); Brian Philip Linares (District 2); Doreen Triplitt (District 3); Mary Joan Danao (District 4); Tobias Mata Villamor (District 5);  Alvin Duaz (District 6); and Marie Cris Gomez (District 7). 

The oathtaking was witnessed by Cebu Vice Gov. Hilario Davide III, some members of the Cebu Provincial Board, and Philippine Information Agency Region 7 Regional Head Fayette Rinen.

Prior to the oathtaking, the governor led the official turnover of 18 new service vehicles to the Cebu Provincial Board Members and inaugurated the Capitol's food park, "Sugbu Sentro."

Sugbo Sentro Capitol has 20 stalls that serve a variety of food and beverage products.

It is open every Monday to Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., catering to walk-in customers as well as Capitol officials and employees.

On the same day, the governor and vice government and some board members also led the unveiling and blessing of the new studio and newsroom of Sugbu News, the official news organization of the Province of Cebu. (RGC/PIA7 Cebu)
