CEBU CITY, Cebu, May 15 (PIA) -- The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) launched and inaugurated its Eastern Visayas Regional Field Office located at the 3rd Floor, National Food Authority 7 Compound, Banilad, Cebu City on May 12.
The Eastern Visayas Regional Field Office will cover two regions with operational jurisdictions in both Central and Eastern Visayas.
The said Regional Field Office (RFO) would further improve the implementation of Republic Act 11032, or the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Law, through capacity-building initiatives and routine compliance monitoring inspections in all government offices, which include all regional and provincial offices of National Government Agencies (NGAs), Local Water Districts (LWDs), Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs), State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Government Hospitals, and Local Government Units (LGUs) in Eastern and Central Visayas.
The office inauguration was led by ARTA Director General Sec. Ernesto Perez and Deputy Director General Usec. Gerald Divinagracia, along with the officials and employees of the ARTA Eastern Visayas Regional Field Office.
In his message, Perez emphasized the importance of building an efficient government service delivery system that supports regulatory and business development.
"Government agencies should be interconnected, and their processes must be streamlined and digitalized in order to achieve economic efficiency," he said.
"I encourage our government agencies to work together towards a people-centered government that executes swift service delivery to the transacting public," added Perez.
The said event was also attended by the heads of some regional line agencies, such as DILG-7 Regional Director Leocadio Trovela, CSC-7 Regional Director Carlos Evangelista, NFA-7 Acting Regional Manager Maria Fe Evasco, and GSIS Cebu Branch Manager Atty. Mercedes Enriquez (RGC/PIA7 Cebu)
