TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, June 7 (PIA) -- Ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) nakatakdang ilhon ang mga outstanding institutional gender mainstreaming initiatives sa mga regional offices (ROs) sa tibuok nasud pinaagi sa unang pagtanyag sa Gender and Development (GAD) Seal Certification Program karong tuiga.
Si DILG Kalihim Benjamin “Benhur” C. Abalos, Jr. miingon nga ang programa gipatuman karong tuiga aron magsilbing insentibo ug pag-ila nga programa pinaagi sa lawom nga pagsusi sa kasamtangang gender mainstreaming mechanism sa mga buhatan sulod sa departamento.
“The DILG is committed towards raising the bar in the promotion of GAD-related initiatives in the government sector and of course we would want it to start from us. Itong GAD Seal Certification Program is our contribution towards that goal and a tangible proof of the recipients’ efforts to champion GAD initiatives,” matud pa ni Abalos.

Sa DILG Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 2023-070, gipasabot ni Abalos nga ang DILG ROs e-assess base sa mosunod nga criteria: utilization of at least 5% of the Agency’s/Institution’s total budget for GAD; institusyonalisasyon ug pagpaandar sa GFPS; pagtukod sa GAD database; pagtukod ug pagpaandar sa committee on decorum and investigation (CODI); anaa sa breastfeeding station ug child-minding station; pagtukod sa GAD corner; probisyon sa GAD-related nga pagbansay o teknikal nga tabang; ug usa ka pasundayag sa mga inisyatibo nga may kalabotan sa GAD o labing maayong gawi sa GAD.
Matud pa sa kalihim nga ang mga RO nga nakakuha og score nga 15-19 puntos makadawat sa GAD Seal Certification.
Ang GAD Seal, pasabot ni Abalos, mahimong balido sulod sa usa ka tuig alang sa kwalipikadong entidad ug kinahanglang i-renew aron maseguro nga matuman ang eligibility ug minimum requirements nga gitakda.
