PAGADIAN CITY, 27 June (PIA) - The 54th Araw ng Pagadian concluded with a spectacular grand finale held on June 21 at the Taklobo Stage in Plaza Luz that showcased the city's vibrant culture and brought together residents and visitors for an unforgettable celebration.
The festivities left a lasting impression on attendees, which marked a memorable anniversary event.
The event commenced with a resplendent civic military parade, uniting various organizations from both government and non-government sectors. This parade served as a testament to the city's collective determination to thrive and resonated deeply with the hearts of the city's residents and visitors.

Exceptional Pagadianons were recognized for their outstanding contributions, further highlighting the city's rich talent and dedication. during the celebration. Local dance groups captivated the audience with their performances, adding an extra touch of cultural flair to the festivities.
During his State of the City Address (SOCA), Mayor Sammy Co proudly highlighted the various programs and ongoing infrastructure projects of his administration, aiming to position thecity as the most progressive city in the south. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the support received during the national and local elections, which granted him another mandate to continue developing the city.
Mayor Co reaffirmed his commitment to serving the constituents by providing social and health services, including the establishment of Pagadian City Pharmacy and a free hospital in Danlugan. He extended his thanks to those who provided support and cooperation in building Pagadian into a highly urbanized city.
“More job opportunities for our people, more infrastructure projects, educational opportunities, greater access to health facilities, better public transport that is more reliable, and numerous housing alternatives,” he said.
In a video message, Senator Allan Peter Cayetano also conveyed his greetings to the Pagadianons, to Mayor Co, the city council, and to all the local officials. He encouraged the officials to continue their hard work and emphasized the importance of patience as some projects will take time to complete. He urged the public to persevere and nurture what they have sown, as the rewards will soon be reaped, quoting the biblical saying, "Kung ano ang ating itinanim, ‘yan din ang aanihin (As you sow, so shall you reap)."
