QUEZON CITY (PIA) -- The 2023 National Food Fair: Philippine Cuisine and Ingredients Show is set to captivate food enthusiasts and industry professionals from July 12 to 16 at the Mega trade Halls 1-3 in SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.

With the theme "Go Discover, Taste, Enjoy!" the event promises a culinary extravaganza featuring the diverse flavors of the country's 16 regions.

Fairgoers can expect an array of fascinating offerings, including a wide selection of cooked and processed food, fresh produce, agricultural products, wines, and beverages. The event will also showcase innovative and sustainable food products, as well as eco-friendly kitchen accents for homes, hotels, and restaurants.

One of the key highlights of the 2023 National Food Fair will be the fusion of science and tradition, exemplifying the advancements in the Philippine food industry. The event will feature innovative food products generated by biotechnology and new production techniques, stemming from groundbreaking research that has the potential to disrupt the Philippine food value chain. Notably, the fair will shine a spotlight on high-value coconut-based food products, healthy snacks, and inventive food and beverages.

Throughout the event, Filipino chefs will demonstrate their culinary prowess through live cooking demonstrations, while food experts, government partners, and collaborators in the industry will engage in insightful business talks. These discussions will shed light on the latest trends, developments, and opportunities within the Philippine food sector.

This initiative aims to bring the flavors and delicacies from different regions to every corner of the Philippines. Featured exhibitors will make their products available for purchase online, enabling food enthusiasts who cannot physically attend the event to indulge in the country's culinary delights.

To ensure inclusivity, a daily program of activities will be offered, featuring entrepreneurship talks, live cooking demonstrations, wine-mixing tutorials, and presentations on various food and business-related topics. This program will be open to the public, free of charge, and will be live streamed on the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion's (BDTP) social media channels, providing remote viewers with access to the event's engaging content.
