MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon (PIA)--In a resounding display of unity and shared aspirations, Atty. Arbie "Bagani" Saway Llesis, the Provincial Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) of Bukidnon, laid out his vision for the Indigenous Peoples (IP) community during the Northern Mindanao Regional Development Plan 2023-2028 (NMRDP) Roadshow.
Highlighting a crucial step towards a "Matatag, maginhawa, at panatag na buhay" (Stable, prosperous, and secured life) for all Filipinos, the NMRDP Roadshow was a platform that brought together various sectors integral to realizing the long-term development plan's objectives.
Mylah Faye Aurora B. Cariño, the Regional Director of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Region X, provided valuable insights into why Bukidnon is a key contributor to Northern Mindanao's economic growth and how the province can play a pivotal role in the 2023-2028 development plan.
Llesis underlined the importance of the IP community's support in making these ambitious development plans a reality, emphasizing the indigenous people's willingness to play a role in the region's growth.
"This commitment signals a bright future for the province, where collaboration between different sectors, including the IP community, will be the driving force behind economic prosperity and social development," Llesis said.
Governor Rogelio Neil P. Roque of Bukidnon likewise assures unwavering support and dedication from the provincial government for the successful implementation of the NMRDP2023-2028.
The Roadshow not only highlighted the potential of Bukidnon but also demonstrated the power of collaboration in achieving sustainable and inclusive growth.
With the province's leaders and the IP community working hand in hand, the NMRDP 2023-2028 stands as a beacon of hope, promising a better life for all Filipinos in Northern Mindanao.
