BALO-I, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--At least 131 children here have enjoyed getting assorted gifts from the Multi-Sectoral Advisory Board (MSAB) of the 55th Engineer Brigade, which spearheaded an outreach program.
With the theme, “Sharing smiles: Baonan bag giveaway for children,” the board partnered with the Rebisco Foundation, Inner Wheel Club Lanao del Norte, and Aice Philippines to give away lunch bags containing snack items, health kits, ice creams and school supplies in line with the celebration of the 31st founding anniversary of the brigade.
Merly Amot Clarido, a mother whose child was one of the recipients, stressed that the MSAB has indeed brought significant aid to their offspring.
She testified that her son's face radiated great happiness.
“Thank you kaayo, especially sa 55th Engineer Brigade ug MSAB. Dakong tabang sa amo ang nahatag nila sa mga kabataan,” said Clarido.
(Thank you so much, especially to the 55th Engineer Brigade and MSAB. What they have given to the kids is a big help for us.)
Arlene Camilotes Alquiza, a mother, lauded the satisfying act displayed by the MSAB.
She stated that this would be remarkable for kids who did not experience previously getting what they received.
“Dahil dito, nabigyan ng kasiyahan ang mga bata. Marami silang naitulong sa mga bata,” said Alquiza.
(Because of this, they gave joy to the children. They have helped the children a lot).
Another mother, Cecille Depasucat, appreciated the host group and its partners for leading such an event in their community.
“Happy ug nag-enjoy mi. Dako ni og natabang. Thank you sa MSAB nga nag-conduct sila ani nga activity,” she said.
(We are happy. We enjoy it. It is a big help. Thanks to MSAB for hosting this activity).
The 55th Engineer Brigade-MSAB shared that they might organize the same event in December this year. (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
