BOC Davao undergoes Quality Audit in preparation for ISO Certification

DAVAO -- The Bureau of Customs (BOC) - Port of Davao undergoes the first stage of the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) on July 6-7, 2021. This is in preparation for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification.

During the opening conference, MGen. Leandro Loyao III, Head of Interim Internal Quality Management System Office (IIQMSO) presented the overview of the 2-day online internal audit process and at the same time, highlighted the importance of aligning the Port’s processes under ISO standards.

Meanwhile, District Collector, Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria has assured that all audit findings will be complied within the prescribed period of the IIQMSO. Furthermore, District Collector Austria expressed his support for the IIQMSO audit, making it the Port’s top priority to be ISO certified within the 3rd Quarter of the year 2021.
In compliance with the 10-point priority agenda of Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, the Port of Davao led by District Collector Austria will continue to implement reforms that will improve its processes aligned with the ISO 9001:2015 standards, all of which are aimed to provide the highest level of service for its stakeholders.
