PNP, KKDAT hold tree-growing activity

In line with the celebration of the 26th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month, the Siquijodnon Pulis recently conducted a tree-growing activity at Liloan, Maria, Siquijor where Rattan (uway) seedlings were planted at the identified planting site of the area.

The activity is also done in response to the theme “Pulisya at Pamayanan, Barangayanihan sa Hamong ng Pandemya at Laban sa Krimen,” which calls for concerted efforts to respond  to the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic and criminality.

It also aimed to adopt the Makalikasan core value of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and raise awareness on the importance of planting and saving trees.

It was led by Deputy Provincial Director for Administration Police Lt. Col. Jovito Atanacio under the the direct supervision of Police Col. Rayomond Gary Mayuga, provincial director of the Siquijor Police Provincial Office. 

The said activity was also made possible in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resouces Office led by Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) Laurentino Bautista.

The activity was also joined by PNP personnel of the provincial headquarters and the Maria Municipal Police Station, EOD-K9, Siquijor Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo led by its president Rodulfo Tompong Jr., PENRO personnel, and the Liloan barangay officials. (PR/Siquijodnon Pulis)
