BOC-NAIA and DHL meet to ensure faster air cargo clearance

MANILA -- As part of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) drive to intensify its engagement with stakeholders and improve public service under the leadership of  Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, BOC-NAIA held an Online Discussion with the DHL Global Forwarding (Phils), Inc on August 6, 2021.

The online discussion  led by BOC NAIA District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan , focused on ensuring seamless transaction in processing packages and loose cargoes. In attendance during the discussion were key personnel of the BOC NAIA and DHL Global Forwarding namely, DHL Value Added Service Head Marilyn Fernandez, DHL Head of Business Development Heidee Olango, DHL Managing Director and Airfreight Head Yvonne Lee, DHL South Luzon and Cebu Station Manager John Paul Ornedo, DHL Customs Broker Alyssa Mari Mangubat and DHL Head of Business Customers Allan Mateo.

During the online discussion, BOC-NAIA, through NAIA-CCC Head Julius Herald Altiche, provided an overview on the process of online filing of goods declaration, including existing policies and latest reforms of BOC. This was followed by a discussion on the importance and procedures in the implementation of the Automated Bond Management System (ABMS) by Atty. Vincent James V. Fajardo, Attorney III of Bonds Division.

DHL , Value Added Service Head Marilyn Fernandez also gave an overview of the DHL Global and their process .

DHL Global Forwarding (Phils), Inc, through DHL Managing Director and Airfreight Head Yvonne Lee expressed their gratitude to BOC NAIA for the continuous support and effort of the port in reaching out to its stakeholders.

BOC NAIA assures the transacting public that it will continuously strengthen its engagement with stakeholders, as these are necessary in enhancing trade facilitation and delivering better government service. (BOC)
