Philippine Red Cross vaccination tally soars past 100,000

MANDALUYONG CITY -- As of August 14, 2021, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has reached another breakthrough as it has now vaccinated a total of 112,325 individuals in its Bakuna Centers and Bakuna Buses nationwide.

According to PRC Health Services Manager Mark Abrigo, the PRC has vaccinated 105,481 in the PRC Bakuna Centers, and 6,844 through the PRC Bakuna Buses.

Out of the 112,325 individuals vaccinated, 2,251 were jabbed with Moderna under the Government's Moderna Program Initiative.

“As we have gradually operated the new Bakuna Center in EDSA, we have already vaccinated 1,154 clients, out of which 634 are OFW clients," said Abrigo.

"Ngayon dumadami lalo ang kaso ng COVID-19, kaya lalo natin dapat hikayatin ang lahat na magpatest at magpabakuna," reiterates PRC Chairman and CEO Senator Richard Gordon.

“Dapat lahat ay mabakunahan, ito ang pinakamabisang paaraan upang maabot natin ang tinatawag na herd immunity," Gordon added.

Those interested to register for PRC vaccination may call PRC hotline 1158.

As the head of the country’s premier organization, Gordon has done a lot to help in the government’s response in battling the pandemic. (Philippine Red Cross)
