SUBIC -- The Bureau of Customs - Port of Subic, in its support to the vision of Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero for the BOC to become a fully automated agency and to further improve personnel administration, conducted the Internal Administration Management System (IAMS) Forum on 18 August 2021 with the help of the Human Resource Management Division (HRMD) and the Management Information System & Technology Group (MISTG).
The activity was attended by the personnel of the Administration Division of the Port of Subic and its other Customs personnel.
In the said forum, HRMD and MISTG explained to the employees how they can access and operate the IAMS as Administrators. They also discussed with participants how they can manage their individual accounts.
IAMS is a framework that facilitates the management of electronic or digital identities of personnel. With such a framework in place, it will be easier and more convenient to check and benchmark user access to critical information. It also helped in the automation of internal administrative support systems aimed to fully enhance the administrative and financial management and strategy within the Bureau of Customs.
IAMS has 13 Modules for its 1st Phase: Dashboard, Recruitment, Employee Management, Leave Management, Payroll, Time and Attendance, Trainings and Seminars, Performance Management, Property and Supplies, Medical, Wellness, Employee Self-Service, and Security.
The System was implemented in the entirety of the Bureau of Customs on April 1, 2021.
It can be remembered that Commissioner Guerrero stated sometime in 2020 that “the BOC will be undergoing process reengineering to improve the country’s customs administration, reduce transaction costs and enhance predictability and transparency of the clearance process.” (BOC)
