MANDALUYONG CITY -- As support to the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) aims to vaccinate over 303 individuals through their Bakuna Bus with their second dose of Sinovac in Barangay Paagahan, Mabitac Laguna.
Last October 11, 2021, the PRC Laguna Chapter also deployed its Bakuna Bus in Mabitac successfully vaccinating 251 individuals with their second dose of Sinovac.
"Despite the ongoing surge of cases, the Red Cross will continue to expand our BAKUNA BUSES and Bakuna Centers as we aim to reach out to more Filipinos. Our goal is to vaccinate as many as we can especially now that our country has lower vaccine hesitancy," reiterates PRC Chairman and CEO Dick Gordon. "Together, let us win the war against COVID-19" he added.
As of October 12, 2021, the PRC Bakuna Center in Laguna vaccinated 12,984 individuals. PRC volunteers and staff have been vaccinating residents around Laguna since August 18, 2021 in their two Bakuna Buses provided by Victory Liner and one Bakuna Center in the Light Industry Science Park II (LSPI II), Barangay Real, Calamba City targeting COVID-19 priority group A4 or essential workers.
