OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA)--The Philippine Medical Association's 66th National Medicine Week Celebration, spanning from September 24 to 30, 2023, kicked off with a remarkable display of community service.

The local chapter in Misamis Occidental, the Ozamiz Medical Society, conducted free consultations and medical check-ups at the Ozamiz City Gym on September 25, 2023.

Diverse medical specialties were covered during this event, including laboratories, surgery, OB-gynecology, internal medicine, pediatrics, and family medicine.

This comprehensive approach aimed to address a wide range of healthcare needs within the community.

The Padayon Asenso Ozamiz Administration, under the direction of Mayor Lawyer Indy Oaminal, received praise from Dr. JM Feliciano, President of the Misamis Occidental Ozamiz Medical Society, for their crucial assistance to the Philippine Medical Association. Their partnership has enabled the medical society to provide essential health services to the residents of Ozamiz.

In addition to medical consultations, several pharmaceutical companies played a significant role by offering free medicines to beneficiaries.
