TFBM reminds MAA residents to process repair, building permits

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--Task Force Bangon Marawi reminds residents from Sectors one to seven of the most affected area (MAA) to process applications for building or repair permits for their structures.

To recall, residents from MAA started processing applications in July 2019 for Kathagomabalay or the repair or construction of their houses or buildings.

“Iyong lahat na gusto magpatayo ng bahay with building permit, pwede na magsimula by October of 2021,” said Task Force Bangon Marawi Chairperson Sec. Eduardo del Rosario.

[Those who want to build homes with building permits may start by October of 2021.]

To date, reconstruction and repair of houses or buildings have been allowed for sectors one to three. Private structures with permits from sectors four to seven will follow suit by October.

Homeowners from MAA can still process Kathagombalay applications at the established one-stop shop located in Vice Mayor Comadug Hall in City Hall. It is open every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 3pm.

The applicants are required to bring documents which include land titles and deeds, plans, zoning receipt, barangay clearance, and Bureau of Internal Revenue Tax clearance.

The names of the applicants will be screened from the Kathanor (organized profiling of TFBM) list and the National Housing Authority’s list of beneficiaries for permanent housing. Applicants should also submit a house tag from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The Marawi City Office of the Building Official will then evaluate the applications.
