ILIGAN CITY (PIA) -- As part of the various lined-up services and activities for the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery,  the Philippine Army and Philippine National Police (PNP) offered free haircut services to children and adults in Barangay Tipanoy.

Mark Andoy, a resident of Purok 2, shared his happiness after receiving his new haircut. He conveyed gratitude to the government for the free service being offered to them.

“Dako kaayo akong pasalamat sa PNP, sa Army  ug sa tanan na naa diri sa Camp. Dako ako pasalamat kay naghigayon sila pareha ani karon na libre tuli ug gupit,” he said.

[I am very grateful to the PNP, the Army, and everyone here at the Camp. I am very thankful because they initiated activities such as free circumcision and haircut.]

After receiving a free haircut, residents and children also availed free milk tea offered by the Rotary Club of Iligan South.

PCol. Wilbur Salaguste, acting city director of Iligan City Police Office (ICPO), said these services will continue as they plan to reach out to disadvantaged residents.

“Dili ni siya mahuman tungod kay gusto nato ipahatod ang serbisyo sa katawhan ilabina sa less fortunate aron inyong makita unsay gihimo sa atong panggobyerno aron maibsan ang atong kakulangon sa atong kinabuhi,” he said.

[This won’t stop because we want to deliver service to the people, especially the less fortunate so you can see what our government is doing to alleviate the shortcomings in our lives.]

Personnel from the Mobile Force Company of ICPO and the Bravo Company under 1st Civil-Military Operations of Philippine Army also provided free haircut services. (LELA/ PIA Lanao del Norte)
