ILIGAN CITY (PIA) -- Some 30 young boys from Barangay Tipanoy here benefitted from the ‘Operation Tuli’ or free circumcision operation.

The Philippine National Police, Philippine Army, Amai Pakpak Medical Center, and Volunteers in Service Medical Mission spearheaded the said operation during the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan. 

Maricelle Cabasalan of Purok 11 is thankful for the free service provided which his two sons benefitted. 

“Dako kaayo ang natabang. Nagpasalamat ko sa Ginoo na dako kaayo ang natabang sa gobyerno,” she said. 

[It helped a lot. I thank the Lord that the government has helped us so much.]

Private organizations also provided free food and drinks to children who underwent circumcision. Kiwanis International provided sweet chocolate rice porridge. Rotary Club of Iligan South gave free milk tea while the Iligan Medical College Extension Department gave ice cream. 

The Iligan City Police Office partnered with various government agencies and private organizations to conduct the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery which is an advocacy campaign that aims to inform the public about the efforts of the government in improving the lives of the Filipino people.
