Tipanoy residents thankful for Barangayanihan Caravan

ILIGAN CITY (PIA) -- Residents of Barangay Tipanoy here are thankful for the various services they availed through the conduct of Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery.

Residents received different relief assistance and services from national government agencies, city government, and private organizations.

Rosadelia Reuyan from Purok 7 thanked the various government agencies and private organizations especially  President Rodrigo Duterte for the services being offered thru the Barangayanihan.

“Nagpasalamat ko ani karon na niabot na libreng tuli ug gupit ug uban pang kaayohan alang sa mga kabataan ug kadagkoan diri sa among dapit sa Iligan. Kay kami tawon na mga ginikanan o apohan maghulat tawon mi ug kanus.a makakwarta,” she said. 

[I am thankful that free circumcisions and haircuts and other benefits have arrived for children and adults here in our area of Iligan. Because we, as parents or grandparents, wait for when we can make money.]

Reuyan also hoped that this provision of services will continue.

Maris Bonghanoy, a resident of Tipanoy, said that the free circumcision service was really helpful to them especially with the economic challenges brought about by the pandemic. 

“Daghang salamat jud na nagorganize ani na program na libre,” she said. 

[Thank you so much for organizing this program that is free.] 

Government agencies that provided services were the Philippine National Police, Philippine Army, Department of Labor and Employment  Lanao del Norte Provincial Office, Department of Interior and Local Government, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority - Regional Training Center, City Social Welfare and Development Office, City Agriculture Office, among others.

Meanwhile, private organizations also joined, namely Kiwanis International, Rotary Club of Iligan South, and Iligan Medical College Extension Department. (LELA/ PIA Lanao del Norte
