Private orgs join Barangayanihan Caravan in Iligan

ILIGAN CITY (PIA) -- In support of the conduct of Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery, private organizations provided food, drinks, and books to children and residents availing various services from the government. 

These organizations are  Kiwanis International, Rotary Club of Iligan South, and Iligan Medical College Extension Department. 

Kiwanis International provided sweet chocolate rice porridge to children who underwent circumcision while  Iligan Medical College Extension Department gave them ice cream. Also, the Rotary Club of Iligan South gave free milk tea.

Maria Socorro Ampiloquio, Kiwanis International past lieutenant governor, said their organization is committed to providing services for the children. 

“Feeding is just one of the activities of Kiwanis International. Basta all about children’s welfare, we are there for them,” she said. 

The children also received school supplies and multivitamins from Kiwanis and books and toys from the Iligan Medical College Extension Department. (LELA/ PIA Lanao del Norte)
