ILOILO CITY (PIA) -- Presidential Management Staff (PMS) Undersecretary for Service Continuity Mark Cristeo R. Gimenez meets the Region VI Association of National Government Executives (RANGE VI) members, February 16, here.
The simple gathering was held at the RDC Hall of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Office VI in Iloilo City and was graced by regional directors and heads of various regional line agencies, government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), government financial institutions (GFIs), and state universities and colleges (SUCs) in Western Visayas.
“It has been a privilege for me to meet many of you and I would like to thank you for your attendance,” said Gimenez.
He also thanked the agencies present for the support they extended during every Presidential visit to the region and underscored the PMS’ goal with this administration.
“Being one of the officials entrusted by the President to work closely with him and with you through the Presidential Management Staff, I think it is time that we bring the Office of the President closer, not only to the regional line agencies but to the general community as well,” he added.


As one of the highlights of the event, Gimenez officiated the induction of the RANGE VI officers for 2023-2024 led by Department of Science and Technology (DOST) 6 regional director Engineer Rowen Gelonga as President.
Together with the RANGE officers and all other agency heads, he also led the reciting and signing of the pledge of commitment of support to the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028.
Gimenez also called for cooperation and unified efforts to make this administration’s desire to achieve the
8-point socio-economic agenda through aligning programs and policies with the said Plan.
“Today, I stand before you not only as an Undersecretary but also like you, a fellow Filipino and a public servant, hoping and aspiring to work with you and provide to our dear President, Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. and his desire to uplift the lives of our kababayans,” he affirmed.
By virtue of Executive Order No. 130, s. 1987, PMS is the primary government agency responsible for providing technical assistance and advice to the President in exercising overall management of the development process. (JBG/FRG/PIA6)
