Governor Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. announced on Monday, that the construction of new rubberized oval and sports complex for the 1st and 3rd districts will be a big boost to hone and develop the skills of the youth.

“Ang sports development abi madamo na siya mahatag sa mga kabataan, so isa na sa mga priorities naton,” the governor emphasized.

Once completed, Tamayo said residents from the municipalities of Tupi, Tampakan, Polomolok, Surallah, Norala, Lake Sebu, Tboli and Sto. Niño need not go to Koronadal City anymore for district meets and other sports events.

The existing rubberized track oval in Koronadal City will also be replaced and rehabilitated, he added.

These projects will be funded through the ratified P1-billion omnibus term loan of the provincial government under the Development Bank of the Philippines.

Other projects under the said loan facility include the construction of the right wing of the 3-storey capitol building, expansion of the provincial hospital building, and other renovation and infrastructure projects. (PIA XII)
