Other government agencies such as the Social Security System, Department of Agriculture,Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Science and Technology , Armed Forces of the Philippines, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Education, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Department of Tourism and Department of Social Welfare and Development, and PNP-PRO9 also provided programs for the Dapitanons. The event also included programs contributed by 'Ayuda ni Nanay Nene’ wherein they distributed rice to their beneficiaries.
The residents expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to engage with the government and avail free services.
“We thank our government for an opportunity like this, that we were able to access programs from our government offices hassle-free,” one of the beneficiaries of the medical check-up said.
Meanwhile, Mayor Seth Frederick P. Jalosjos expressed his delight as Dapitan was chosen as the host of the Post-SONA event. He highlighted that this presented an opportunity for Dapitan to showcase its unique offerings, particularly in business and tourism.
“We’re so happy, blessed and honored for choosing Dapitan City to host this Post SONA Forum, the very first Post SONA of our President in Mindanao. This is one way of presenting to everyone that we’re in business and we are very serious when it comes to tourism in this part of Mindanao”, Mayor Jalosjos expressed.
The Post-SONA Forum Caravan was an initiative of the Philippine Information Agency aimed at advancing government programs and delivering accurate information, especially regarding initiatives under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. (KSA/RVC/NDR-PIA9)
