MANILA, Sept. 1 (PIA) -- Gipahamtang ni Presidente Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang mandated price ceilings sa bugas sa tibuok nasud taliwala sa makapaalarma nga pagsaka sa presyo niini sa merkado, ang Malacañang nipahibalo adlaw’ng Biyernes.
Ang Presidente, pinaagi ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, milagda niadtong Agosto 31, 2023 sa Executive Order (EO) 39, nga nag-aprobar sa hiniusang rekomendasyon sa Department of Agriculture (DA) ug sa Department of Trade of Industry (DTI) sa pagtakda og presyo sa bugas sa tibuok nasud.
Ubos sa EO 39, ang gitakdang presyo sa gobyerno sa regular milled rice P41.00 matag kilo samtang ang mandated price cap sa well-milled rice P45.00 matag kilo.
“The mandated price ceilings shall remain in full force and effect unless lifted by the President on the recommendation of the Price Coordinating Council or the DA and the DTI,” matud ni Marcos sa iyang mando.
Ang EO 39, nga gi-release sa publiko adlaw’ng Biyernes, mo-epekto dayon human mamantala sa Official Gazette, o sa usa ka mantalaan nga adunay kinatibuk-ang sirkulasyon.
Ubos sa Section 7 sa Republic Act No. 7581, ang Presidente, sa rekomendasyon sa implementing agency, o sa Price Coordinating Council, mahimong magpahamtang og price ceiling sa bisan unsang basic necessity o prime commodity agig pagsunod sa mga kondisyon nga gitakda sa balaod.
