QUEZON CITY (PIA) -- In celebration of the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), government officials and employees will have the opportunity to avail special treats and discounts on various purchases, accommodations, and activities throughout the month of September.
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has partnered with numerous private establishments to express gratitude and appreciation for the efforts and dedication of the 1.9 million active civil servants and retired employees.
Chairperson Karlo Nograles of the CSC expressed his gratitude and acknowledged the tremendous sacrifices made by the government workers, stating, "Inihanda natin itong special treats bilang pasasalamat sa ating mga kawani. Talaga namang hindi matatawaran ang inyong mga sakripisyo upang matugunan ang pangangailangan at mabigyan ng dekalidad na serbisyo ang publiko anumang oras. Salamat po sa inyo" (We have prepared these special treats as a thank you to our employees. We truly cannot quantify the sacrifices you make to meet the needs and provide quality service to the public at all times. Thank you).
The list of partner outlets offering discounts on accommodations includes Bluewater Maribago in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu; Casa Emilia in Caloocan City; Desert Rose Hotel in El Nido, Palawan; Fulgueras Beach Resort in San Felipe, Zambales; Department of Tourism - Cordillera Administrative Region; Department of Tourism - Region 1; Harolds Evotel Hotel Cebu; Kwentong Dagat in San Felipe, Zambales; Layang Layang Home in El Nido, Palawan; Limliwa Beach Resort in San Felipe, Zambales; Ramada Manila; RedDoorz; Seda Lio in El Nido, Palawan; Sitio de Amor in San Pablo City, Laguna; Urbiz Garden in San Juan, La Union; and Villa Pamana Inn in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro.
In addition to accommodations, civil servants are offered discounted rates at SM Bowling, SM Skating, Game Room, and Star City. Ka Tunying's also extends special pricing for food orders.
The health and wellness facilities partnering with CSC include 2 Hands, Asian Eye Institute, EyeSite by Asian Eye Institute, Blissful Bali Massage Spa and Aesthetic Center, Dermcare, Executive Optical, KR Suarez Optical, Pink Parlour, RCC Amazing Touch, Vitasurg Clinic, and Watsons.
Nine retail outlets are offering discounts in-store, namely ACE Hardware, FlexiSpot, Hi-Q Appliances, Miniso, Pet Express, SM Appliance Center, SM Store, Toy Kingdom, and Trax Manila Records.
Moreover, government employees and retired personnel can avail of discounts on services from AutoDox Car Care Center, AutoGenic, Automobile Association Philippines, L\&D's Auto Body Painting & Repair Services, and Majesty Driving School. Bigson Travel & Tours and Travbest Travel & Tours Co. also offer discounts on travel bookings and travel insurance.
To take advantage of these discounts, government workers must present their government agency ID or UMID card. Job Order and Contract of Service workers can also access the special treats by presenting their official government agency ID card.
