Twenty-two companies joined the activity, offering more than 3,000 job vacancies.

The participating companies/employers were, namely: Asia Brewery, Azpired, Carmen Copper Corporation, Cebu Golden Restaurant, Coast Pacific Manufacturing, Concentrix, Innodata, IPI, JASA Construction, Kandaya Resort, Malachite Value Builders, Ney Shelle Station, PLD Construction, Primary Trident Marine Solutions, Inc., Qualfon, Ravago Equipment Rentals Inc., Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Supermarket, Sugbo ACS Food Manufacturing Corp., Teleperformance, Toyoko Inn, and WIPRO.

TESDA-7 Regional Operations Division Chief Jocelyn Cabahug said that the WCO is “a relevant strategy of TESDA to hasten the employment of TVET graduates, alumni, and job seekers.”

“This event is also in support of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s 10-point agenda for economic renewal and long-term growth under the Build Better More program, ” Cabahug added.

Department of Labor and Employment Region 7 (DOLE-7) Assistant Regional Director Emmanuel Ferrer stressed the significance of Tech-Voc in bridging the gap between education and employment towards economic growth.

“We are committed to collaboration with TESDA in ensuring that every individual in Central Visayas has access to quality training, equal opportunities and a chance to drive in the ever-evolving job market,” Ferrer said.

Cebu City Councilor Edgardo Labella II thanked the organizers for the jobs fair, adding that the job fair is also an equal opportunity for both job seekers and companies.
