Philippine Army’s CSP gets boost

ILOILO CITY (PIA) - - The Philippine Army here received goods from the Iloilo provincial government to help boost its peace and development efforts in the communities.

As reported by the Capitol, Provincial Administrator Raul N. Banias turned over goods to 301st Brigade, Philippine Army under Gen. Michael Samson as part of the provincial government’s support to the brigades’ Community Support Program (CSP).

The goods will be distributed by the 301st Brigade to the 12th IB, 82nd IB and 61st IB, all located in the province.

Also, 50 sacks of rice will be turned over to the Philippine Army next week to be distributed to the communities.

The CSP is a community-based peace and development effort spearheaded by the Philippine Army where their personnel are deployed to far-flung communities to identify issues and concerns of the inhabitants for submission to the government agencies concerned.

The Philippine Army is also one of the partners of the Iloilo Provincial Government in the implementation of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) where beneficiaries or those who left armed struggle and decided to be reintegrated in the society are provided with assistance and support.

The assistance provided are: Immediate Assistance in the amount of P15,000.00, Livelihood Assistance in the amount  of  P50,000.00 and Reintegration 

Assistance of P21,000.00. (AAL/Balita Halin sa Kapitolyo/LAF-PIA6-Iloilo)
