Port of Subic conducts 4th Stakeholders’ Forum on Workplace Professionalism and Civility

MANILA -- The Bureau of Customs – Port of Subic conducted its Local Learning and Development Training on Workplace Professionalism and Civility attended by the personnel of the Port of Subic in two batches last October 13 and 14, 2021. The purpose of the said training is to further enhance the professionalism and civility of the port’s personnel.
District Collector Maritess T. Martin believes that public servants must always act with utmost professionalism. It is the responsibility and obligation of the port to its personnel and transacting the public. The said training is part of the Values Transformation Program of the said port. It is the first training conducted by the port after 5 years.

The speaker of the training was Ms. Rechilda T. Oquias who was designated over the years as Chief, Export Division; Chief, Auction, and Cargo Disposal Division, Chief of Staff to various District Collectors, and Asst. Chief of the Liquidation and Billing Division. Currently, she is the Chief of the Export Coordination Division - POS-AOCG and the Head Executive Assistant to the Commissioner of Customs. Equipped with her experience, Ms. Oquias led a successful, informative, and interactive webinar training.

In her closing remarks for the training which she described as a gem, Atty. Aileen E. Amada-Tortoles, Deputy Collector for Administration of the port stressed that public servants must earn the trust and respect of colleagues and the transacting public by being professional.

The Port of Subic will continue its efforts in conducting more training that will further improve its services to its personnel and the transacting public. (BOC)
