CLAVERIA, Misamis Oriental (PIA)--The Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental, in collaboration with the Local Government of Claveria, government line agencies, and the 58th Infantry Dimalulupig Battalion conducted their first monthly visit for the year 2022 at Sitio Kalhaan, Barangay Minalwang, Claveria, January 5.

The visit to Higaonon residents of Kalhaan was conducted by members of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-10 led Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) cluster under the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) as part of its campaign to provide sustainable livelihood and training to far-flung communities.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-10 provided supplies for Sari-sari Store Livelihood Program worth P80,000 for the Kalhaan Kabahianan; the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) LGU Claveria distributed hygiene kits; the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) conducted sampling for the existing Tilapias in their pond; PAGRO provided used clothing, toys, and food packs; and FICCO Foundation gave 1 crate of Strawberry Seedlings for Kalhaan residents while the Provincial Agriculture Office headed by Jose Apollo Pacamalan provided agricultural assistance.

Maria Tenila Pinaandel, President of the Kalhaan Kabahianan Woman Association, expressed her people's gratitude on their behalf, sharing that they were all grateful for the efforts, dedication, and support provided by various agencies in the development of Sitio Kalhaan, a previously abandoned community.
