CSC offers training for HR practitioners this July

QUEZON CITY -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) invites leaders, managers, and human resource (HR) practitioners to participate in the series of comprehensive learning and development (L&D) programs offered by the Civil Service Institute (CSI) this July.

“As the training and development arm of the Commission, CSI offers an array of HR and organizational development programs aimed at harnessing the skills of leaders and HR practitioners in government. As persons in charge of the learning and development of civil servants in their respective agencies, it is important that they are technically proficient so they can become effective partners in building a professional and competent bureaucracy,” said CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.

The training program on Competency Based Human Resource System (CBHRMS) which will be held from 11-18 July will delve into the benefits, processes, and requirements of developing a CBHRMS. Attendees will gain insights in preparing a project proposal tailored to their respective organizations thru the blended learning approach. This approach uses a combination of micro-learning modules and facilitated group discussions.

The CBHRMS workshop will also emphasize the system's benefits, features, and the necessary processes, practices, time, and resources required to develop, install, and implement it effectively.

On 12-14 July, the online Learning and Development Program will equip HR practitioners with the competencies needed to translate the Learning Needs Analysis results into an HR Development Plan. It will provide recommended learning and training interventions to support the pursuit of their respective organizations' strategic directions.

Lastly, the two-day Learning Facilitation course, scheduled on 19-21 July, will enable L&D Practitioners to acquire essential facilitation skills, helping them effectively facilitate learning based on the Learning Cycle framework while handling various types of disruptive behavior.

"We hope that more and more HRM Officers and practitioners will support our training programs, working together with the CSC in achieving our goal of Shaping the Servant-Hero toward Public Service Excellence,” said Chairperson Nograles.

Participants who complete all the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion, acknowledging their accomplishment and granting them 16 leadership and managerial training hours.

For detailed information on the programs and the registration procedure, kindly refer to the comprehensive Learning and Development Calendar available on the CSI website at http://csi.csc.gov.ph/.
