BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The Department of Agriculture (DA) is giving out free garlic planting materials to farmers to help them earn in this time of COVID-19 pandemic.

Arsenio Apostol Jr.,  Nueva Vizcaya Vizcaya Experimental Station (NVES) manager and Mayor Pepito Balgos recently led the distribution of free Batanes White Garlic to farmers in this town at the Bambang Integrated Agri-Tourism and Livelihood Site (BIATALS).

The agriculture assistance was given to farmers of barangays  Almaguer North, Almaguer South, Mauan, manamtam, Salinas,  Barat,  Mauan, Manamtam and  San Leonardo.

The recipients are members of the DA’s Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA). 

The RSBSA is an electronic compilation of basic information of farmers, farm workers, fishers, and other target agriculture-related beneficiaries of the DA.

Their data are being encoded in the Farmers and Fishery Registry System managed by the DA-Central Office.

Balgos urged the farmers to put their assistance into good use so that they can earn and support their daily needs especially in this tiwm of COVID-19 pandemic.
