36,710 doses of COVID-19 vaccines arrive in Isabela

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - Assistant Provincial Health Officer and Isabela Vaccination Program Operation Center head Dr. Arlene Lazaro led the receiving of 36,710 doses of Covid-19 vaccines from the Department of Health - Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD-2) on August 16.

Lazaro said that the vaccines consist of 15,000 doses from Sinovac, 19,940 doses from Moderna, 1,170 doses from Pfizer, and 600 doses from AstraZeneca.

She also said that the AztraZeneca vaccines that arrived compose the second tranche procured by the Provincial Government.

According to Lazaro, of August 16, there were already 171,366 Isabelenos who got their first jab from vaccination, while there were 125,800 who were fully vaccinated after receiving their second doses.

She added that additional Covid-19 doses will be administered in various parts of Isabela in the coming days.

Lazaro, including the two top provincial leaders, Gov. Rodito Albano III and Vice Gov. Faustino G. Dy III, continuously encourages all Isabelenos to get vaccinated in order to increase their immunity against the deadly Covid-19. (JKC/MGE/PIA Isabela)
