SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - -  The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) recently gave pension benefits for the indigent senior citizens of this town.

Mayor Eufemia Dacayo said the P3,000 pension each for their elderlies covered the months of July to December 2021.

“We thank the DSWD for giving this assistance to our poor elderlies. The earlier the better for them to spend for their needs especially this time of COVID-19 pandemic,” she said.

The Social Pension Program provides financial assistance to poor elderlies at P500.00 a month to augment their expenses in defraying their daily needs and costs of other medical needs.

The distribution of the pension pay for the eldelries was held in their respective respective barangays.(MDCT/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
