PSA WV holds 2022 CBMS First Data Turnover in Antique

SAN JOSE, Antique (PIA) -- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Antique Provincial Statistical Office turned over the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data files to the Municipal Government of Belison recently, a first in Western Visayas.

The turnover was led by the OIC regional director of PSA Western Visayas Nelida C. Amolar and Hon. Warren Escaner on behalf of the acting mayor Reynaldo E. Jacaba.

Amolar elaborated on how the PSA is grateful for the support that the LGU has provided to the conduct of the 2022 CBMS and hopes that the data turned over to Belison will provide appropriate inputs to identify areas of concern in the municipality.

Escaner, in his acceptance speech said, “The CBMs data is a huge help to the local development of Belison since it provides the LGU with up-to-date data helpful in planning future investments in the municipality.”

The Data Turnover Ceremony (DTC) served as a venue where highlights of the CBMS results were presented to the local CBMS Coordinating Board and community representatives.

The activity was an opportunity for the PSA to strengthen its commitment to the LGU in making sure that the data

collected and processed will be a beneficial tool to be utilized in planning, policy-making, and impact monitoring.

The CBMS results were presented by Ma. Goretti N. Novilla, Supervising Statistical Specialist of PSA Western Visayas wherein data on the basic services, peace and order, food insecurity, education facilities, labor force, and employment, health facilities, housing characteristics, and disaster preparedness were highlighted in the activity.
